Cloître de Saint-Michel de Cuxa, Codalet (France)

This case study is based on the survey conducted on Saint-Michel-de-Cuxa cloister: columns, capitals, and a few bases present on the verges. This mission is part of the Oliba project, whose aim is to create a 3D model of the present estate of the abbey.

The survey lasted a week, and concerns about forty elements. Two cameras were used: the NIKON D3X (24 megapixels) and the Canon 450D (12 megapixels).

Because of the large number of objects, and insofar as the acquisition principle is the same from one object to the next, this document considers only two of them.

All in all the acquisition comprises more than three thousand photos, and about 250 point clouds.
