Chapelle impériale, Ajaccio (France)


This survey serie was conducted within the context of the various experimentations carried out on the Apero and MicMac softwares, in association with the CICRP and DRAC de Corse.

The objective was to estimate the prospects that this kind of approach can bring to the conservation and architecture analysis of heritage buildings.


The Imperial Church, also known as Palatin Church, is located in Ajaccio, in the right wing of Fresch Palace. It was built during the middle of the XIXth century, by Paccard, the official Empire architect.

The survey concerns the indoor spaces of the church: walls, floor and vaults. It was made with the Canon EOS 5D Mark II (21 megapixels) and a 15mm fisheye lens.

A hundred photos were taken to cover the hole building. The final results consists in a gathering of eighteen point clouds.
