Amphithéâtre, Arles (France)

This survey was conducted during a tour in Arles, with the aim of providing a large building acquisition example in an urban zone.

Because of its size and complex morphology, the inner areas weren't taken into account. Consequently, the objective was to create a complete 3D model of the outer layer.

The acquisition was made in the morning (which means important lightning changing), with the NIKON D3X (24 megapixels), and a 24mm lens.

About 130 photographies were needed to realize the full 3D point cloud. The final model contains forty different point clouds.
